Mac Studio Fix Fluid Foundation Review
Hey guys! I am finally back to blogging. It has been a busy couple of months with uni.
So today I wanted to review this Mac foundation. I had never really tried Mac products before using this. So I thought I would review this foundation for anyone who was like me... a bit of a Mac virgin!
Pros
- It has good coverage. I wouldn't say it was the best coverage but it fits my skin perfectly. For anyone who just has a couple of break outs then its great for just covering them up.
- It blends in well and leaves your skin looking naturally flawless which I love! I doesn't give a heavy feeling to your skin either.
- It brightens up your face, I never thought I would say this about a foundation because I thought you needed like highlighters, bronzer s ect to give the brightening effect. I can really tell the difference when wearing cheaper brands to this. The quality is amazing.
- Overall it is just a gorgeous foundation. It is my favourite for now (I am always trying new ones out!) but for now I am in love. I recommend this product to people who don't need to much coverage, and like the natural look.

MAC Ravishing Lipstick
Hey guys!
It feels like it's been forever since i've done a post but I have been super busy with university assessments and birthdays so haven't got round to typing up a post for you. Anyhow as you can guess today i'm doing a mac lipstick post again.. (slowly getting to the end of these).
So onto mac ravishing... It's described as a 'clean light peachy coral'. It's definitely a coral but with my skin tone it's more on the orange side. From swatches I did expect it to be a bit lighter maybe I got a dodgy one or this is the genuine colour on my skin tone. It's a shade that I have to feel brave wearing and for me it's definitely a summer shade but saying that i'm excited to wear it more. It's a cremesheen finish which is definitely my favourite. It's nice and creamy in texture giving great pigmentation, (not drying on the lips at all). I've found it to last about 3 hours a minimum but that's when i've not been using my mouth.
Overall... I don't think I would repurchase this again but it is a nice shade to own in my collection..
What's your favourite shade of lipstick?
see you soon, han xo
ps: I was thinking of doing what I got for my birthday which is tomorrow, I was wondering whether this is something you would like to see, so i'd love to know in the comments.

Everyday Look #1

Today I thought I would do a post slightly different post to my norm.. mainly because I don't normally have a post with so many like self/close up pictures unless i'm doing a swatch post. Anyhow, today I thought I would share with you one of my current go to everyday look.
All about that base: To begin with I start benefit porefessional primer. Now I don't normally bother with a primer mainly due to sheer laziness, but since reading sophie's post on primers I decided that it was time I should. I just squeeze out a little bit of this out and put it all over my face to give me a lovely smooth start. After that I apply collection's long lasting concealer on any spots or red areas (which I totally forgot to include in the picture). After doing that I apply my foundation which has currently been the estee lauder double wear foundation mainly because I've been neglecting it for so long, I thought it was about time it got more use. ps I plan to get a proper review on this done soon. Once that's all done I use my seventeen shimmer brick in pink bronze all over my cheeks. It gives that bronze, blushed and highlighted look all in one which I great when i'm either being lazy or in a rush. Oh and then I go over with my stay matte powder just to tone down any over blushing etc and to make the look last longer.
Now onto the eyes and the brows: Basically my love affair with the elf brow kit in light may have to die now that elf isn't distributing in the UK. I use the gel for where I think my brow needs to look a bit thicker or defined (basically give my eyebrow shape) and use the shadow for filling in my brows. Now that my eye brows are done I have just been using my mac paint pot in painterly (review on these here) all over the lid for a base colour or when I really can't be bothered I'll just use this and no eyeshadow. Then for proper eyeshadow I use my makeup revolution flawless palette, and the shade almost there in like the outer part of my lid crease and then blend it out. Sometimes I'll use smudge as well in the crease to give a more dramatic effect. Once i'm bored of doing eyeshadow I like to add some eyeliner to my top lash liner only from the outer corner to the middle to make my lashes look a bit fuller. Recently i've been using a lord and berry pencil mainly because I got this in the march look fantastic box, but this stage is completely hit and miss. Lastly for my eyes I just apply my perversion mascara by urban decay.. I've done a review on this so not going to bore you about it.
Lastly the lips: Basically I'm so thankful for miss ray fancy for doing such a lovely giveaway and bringing this lipstick to my attention. It's the elf lipstick in the shade nostalgic, which is a lovely everyday nude and will be reviewed properly along with a few others in the future.
That's it for this everyday look, please let me know what you think and whether you would like to see more posts like this in the future, possibly an night out look next time? Also hope you don't mind how I did the pictures just wanted to show the look from different angles and different parts..
speak soon, han xo

MAC Fleshpot Lipstick
This is new to my collection and I have been obsessed with it ever since I purchased it. I bought it slightly cheaper from the York Designer Outlet a few weeks ago now, so don't know if this shade will still be stocked, however i'm sure there would be others.
Fleshpot is a lovely pinky nude and I love it for everyday wear, although I think you have to be careful when buying this shade as it could look like foundation/concealer lips. It's a satin finish which gives a similar finish to a matte shade but less drying and has a slight sheen. I find this to last at least 4 hours on my lips before needing a retouch although each day varies depending on what i'm doing.
What do you think of this shade? What shades are your favourite?
see you soon, han xo

MAC Vegas Volt
I wish I loved Vegas Volt!
Give me a purple shade and I will work it! But this shade is just such a stand out shade that I haven't yet found out whether I like it. I think I need to just pair it with it a nice makeup look and outfit and then i'll love it, if that makes sense. It's definitely a Summer shade!
Vegas Volt is definitely a bright red coral shade on my skin tone. My cousin who is slightly tanned looked gorgeous wearing this shade, it really suited her. It's an amplified creme finish so it's super creamy (no dry lips) and super pigmented! I find when I was testing this shade out the other day that it lasted at least 2 and half hours without needing a touch up, which I think was quite good.
I'm definitely going to try and make this shade work in the summer!!
What do you think to this shade?

MAC Shy Girl
So today.. it's all about Shy Girl...
This isn't a lipstick that I really go to much. There's no real reason: I think it's an okay shade, I like it. I think if I wore it more I would definitely like it more than I do now. It's just I go through phases and now i'm currently obsessed with fleshpot (future post).
Anyhow, MAC describe it as a coral beige and I definitely agree that on my skin tone it is that! It's a cremesheen finish which means it's nice and creamy in texture and I don't find drying on my lips. It lasts between 3-4 hours and when applied gives a really nice colour coverage on the lips.
What do you think? Would you buy this shade?

MAC Riot House
Recently I visited the Cosmetics Company Store in York which sells discounted high end makeup. So when I spotted this lipstick for £11.75, I knew I was going to buy it... (ps it's not mentioned on my mac lipstick collection post)
So Riot House is a limited edition lipstick by Kelly Osbourne, which means it's sadly not stocked by MAC. BUT if you have any stores like the above mentioned you may find it or online searching. Riot House is bright peachy orange in a matte finish which means it lasts a good length of time on the lips although it is slightly drying. For the picture I have toned down the colour a lot by not applying so much as it's a very pigmented shade.
What do you guys think to it?

MAC Peach Blossom Lipstick
Yet again another MAC Lipstick post. Today I welcome you to Peach Blossom...
This shade is described as a frosted cool nude but I don't think I agree. On me it's my lip shade but better. So on me it gives my lips a little added pink and a nice shine. The finish of this shade is a cremesheen (my personal favourite). It glides on the lips and gives a nice sheer coverage which can be built up along with a tad shine. I find that it this lipstick lasts a few hours, around 3/4 hours.
Overall this is just a 'meh' lipstick in my opinion. I'm not in love with it but I don't hate it! It's a nice shade to own for like work purposes etc, but don't think I will be left upset when this runs out.

MAC Pink Plaid Lipstick

So hey guys.. I'm back with MAC Pink Plaid for you today (best colour reflection is the bottom two pictures). Anyway to Pink Plaid.. I went through such a phase of wearing this then I got new ones so kind of forgot how much I loved this shade. Now I remember i'm loving it again. It's great for everyday wear. It is a matte finish which means that it lasts ages on the lips. The shade is described by MAC as a dirty blue pink.. I don't personally know how I would describe it maybe dusky pink.. I don't know, you guys decide.
Let me know what you think to this shade? Or whether you have it? Also how do you describe this shade from my swatches...
see you soon, han x

MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pots: Camel Coat, Bare Study & Painterly
I got a few of these MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pots awhile back now and have been obsessed with these ever since. I currently own three pots but know that I definitely want to expand my collection in the future basically when I have more pennies. So today I thought I would share with you guys the three shades that I do own which are camel coat, bare study and painterly.
The paint pots are great base products for eyeshadow or alternatively can be worn on their own when you are in one of them moods not to bother with eye makeup much. They are creamy in application and I apply using my a makeup brush normally but they still give a nice even finish if you apply with your finger too. Once they have been applied they give you eyelid a nice smooth base to add further eyeshadows and help them last longer on the lid.

MAC Cremesheen Lipstick in Japanese Maple
It feels like it's been ages since I last put up one of my MAC lipstick posts... So now I'm back with Japanese Maple for you all...
Japanese maple is a lovely pale frosted nude with a high shine finish. It's a cremesheen lipstick so I find that this only lasts a couple of hours then I need to touch it up more so if i'm drinking/eating etc... I really like this nude however it isn't for everyone as I can imagine it making people look pasty if you have real pale skin (though I could be wrong).
I'm definitely a fan of this one and think it's perfect for summer when you skin has more of a summer glow. Let me know what you think of this shade...

Han's Picks:
I have been forever eyeing up this lip pencil so it would definitely be something I would use this voucher on!
I'm such a lover of mac lipsticks as you can probably tell from previous posts so another lipstick would be on my wish list if I had this voucher. I keep looking at lovelorn and I think it is definitely the next lipstick I want to buy.
I only own one MAC blusher which my grandma got me so I would love to own some more. This coral shade looks so pretty!
I am such a fan of mac's paint pots!!! I want this one so bad... the colour looks gorgeous!
Make sure you guys enter as the challenge starts today and let us know if you do! (if you don't know how find out here)

MAC Matte Velvet Teddy
So I know Han normally does the MAC lipstick posts, but I wanted to share my love for Velvet Teddy.
I don't normally buy MAC lipsticks, but I have been wanting this colour for ages!. I first saw it on a you-tuber when I was watching her video. It looked so good on her and I wanted to see if it would suit me, I went to my nearest MAC store but they didn't have it in stock, it is such a popular shade so I ordered mine offline.
I absolutely love it! the shade it so nice, it really does look good. I love beige lipsticks, and this is such a great daytime colour, I know I will be wearing this a lot.
I like how natural looking the colour is, I do like the pink and purple shades, but it is nice for a change to wear a colour like this, and it really does make a difference to your face. It is definitely worth the money and the time I have waited to get it.
I would love to know what your favourite MAC lipstick shade is, I think I am officially hooked and will definitely be purchasing some more.
See you soon, Em x

MAC Satin Lipstick in Cyber
If you've read my mac collection post and my post on mac blankety you will know I decided to create individual posts on my mac lipsticks.. So today I am bringing you... mac's cyber lipstick!
Cyber is a vampy purple shade! I think it's great for autumn and I love it! It is definitely a very daring shade which makes it harder to wear... However I have muted this down just to create a nice purple shade on my lips and it looks gorgeous either way. It's a satin finish which means it's not matte but has a sheen. This lasts a good while on my lips not so much if i'm drinking all the time and also makes my teeth look whiter.
let me know what you guys think...

Mac Frost Lipstick in Fabby
If you've read my mac collection post and my post on mac blankety you will know i've decided to do individual posts on my mac lipsticks (due to providing more swatches and a less lengthy post). So here's my first ever mac lipstick fabby!
As you can tell from the picture I use tabby quite a lot.. it is one of my personal favourites. Colour wise it is a muted pink/mauve colour which has a gold frost/shimmer effect to it which it think is gorgeous. I think it really suits my skin tone and I love it! It's a frost lipstick so it has a lot of shimmer however saying that I don't find this too shimmery on my lips in fact I love the effect it gives. The downfall is that because it's a frost it doesn't last that long on the lips so it needs reapplying but has very good coverage.
what do you guys think to fabby?

MAC Kinda Sexy Lipstick
If you've read my MAC collection post and my post on MAC Blankety lipstick you will know i've decided to do individual posts on my mac lipsticks (due to providing more swatches and a less lengthy post). So here's my post on MAC's Kinda Sexy lipstick!
Kinda Sexy is a peachy/coral toned nude in a matte finish (although it doesn't really look matte in the picture). With it being a matte finish it means that it lasts a lengthy time on the lips.. I've found it to last about 5 hours at least. It is also the most drying finish however I didn't really find kinda sexy that drying... it looks more like a satin finish in the picture I would say. I find kinda sexy is quite bold nude on my lips so I wouldn't wear it everyday but it's definitely a day time colour. Overall i'm happy with the shade but it's not my most loved.
Tell me what you guys think in the comments!
see you soon, han x

MAC Myth Lipstick
Hey everyone! Surprise Surprise I have another MAC lipstick post and this time it's MAC Myth Lipstick
Myth is a light nude colour (I would say with a hint of peach). I do like it however I'm not in love with it! It's a nice colour to have in my collection. It's perfect for everyday wear and lasts for about 4 hour isn I find. It's a satin finish which means that it's not matte but has a sheen to it. It has good coverage/colour pay off. I don't find it that drying on my lips, but when my lips are drier I do tend to pair this with a lip balm.
let me know what you guys think...

This is a gorgeous photo frame which would make such a personal christmas gift if you added a nice photograph to it before given. ASOS also does this in a range of sizes and colours. We personally love this style a long with the lilac version.
We adore these ourself and really want them! These would be such a super gift as you can never really go wrong with pyjamas. Also, it would be lovely to give someone on christmas eve so that they can wake up on christmas day all festive. New Look currently have these stocked in all sizes (8-18) on their website.
This would be good for any girl you know who loves a candle especially with a scent like pink lemonade (yum yum).
These are a bargain. They are currently selling them at £12.99 on Amazon along with free delivery (saving £17 plus delivery). They are the same design style as real techniques and they are super soft. Hannah has bought these for one of her friends and now wants them for herself.

This gift is a bit of a cheat as it's currently under £15 in Debenhams... however it just goes over by 50p so not too bad. Which has proven for us hard to find. So if you are after a MAC lipstick as gift check out Debenhams!

This set includes 4 nail varnishes which are usually £5 each so save yourself at least a tenner! This is not only great for the one direction fan but good for you bank account. You can pick up a 30ml bottle for just £12.75 or £15.95 if you want to get 50ml and free delivery. We personally think it's a nice smelling perfume.
This makeup bag is gorgeous and would be a great gift for all those makeup lovers out there or all those people who have a worn out looking makeup bag. This is our personal favourite but they also have varies out £10 makeup bags on the site.
The last of the gifts in this series is this set from Benefit. Again this is another cheat gift as it's technically over £15 but has discount on it at the moment. In this set is a mini hola (bronzer) and dandelion (blusher). As well as their matching lip glosses. This again is great for all the makeup lovers or for someone who is just beginning with makeup.
