Lately I've been doing a bit of spending/treating myself, which basically means I've extended my makeup collection on makeup that I definitely didn't need...oh well. So after visiting The Cosmetic Company, Boots, Superdrug & Poundland this is what I ended up with.
Eye products: As soon as I went into my local Superdrug I instantly walked over to the makeup revolution display hoping that the Flawless Ultra 32 Eyeshadow Palette and there it was, yay, so after months of lusting I finally got it. This palette has 32 stunning shades including both matte and shimmer shades all for a great price of £8. I plan to do full review on this soon so I won't talk about it much.
The next eye product I got from Superdrug isn't actually on the picture as I totally forgot to include it but it was the Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara which I've already reviewed on our blog.
The next two eye products I picked up came from Boots and I picked up because there was 3 for 2 running but now i'm like why did I need these more so about the Rimmel Scandaleyes shadow stick by Kate in Rose Gold (£4.49). I think I picked this up because of both the name and purely being in a hurry. Though from swatching it is definitely more of a bronze than a rose gold. Still pretty though and i'm sure I will use it. The next eye product from Boots I picked up was a Maybelline Color 24hr Tattoo in Permanent Taupe. I have two of these already and thought why not expand the collection by adding another as I really like the others.
The last eye product I picked up but didn't was a MAC eye paint pot in Camel Coat. My friend offered to buy me a new one, to replace my old one which she mislaid. This cost £10 saving £5.50 from the Cosmetic Company so I felt a tiny bit less bad for accepting it and next time I go in there i'm definitely going to look out for others they have stocked.
Onto face products: These products were definitely the reason why I went into Boots. I have been after a shimmer brick for ages even since I saw the Bobbi Brown version, which is definitely out of my budget at the moment. So when I saw that there was 3 for 2 I knew I had to pick up both Seventeen Shimmer Bricks in Gold Bronze and Pink Bronze (£4.99 each). These are so pretty, definitely hope to review these properly soon.
Lastly lip products: A makeup haul wouldn't be made if I didn't buy a lip product.. I have such an addiction right now. The first thing I bought was a MAC lipstick in St Germain for £10 from the Cosmetic Company. This shade is one I've always wanted but never have because its such a stand out shade that I didn't know if it was worth the money for the usage. So when I saw it slightly cheaper I knew I that I had to have it... sorry bank. The last two makeup bits are two Sleek Eau la la Liners in Red Sky Night and Raisin (£4.99 each). I originally picked Raisin because I thought it would look nice paired with MAC Cyber lipstick and I thought red sky night was pretty, so I can't wait to test these out.
Other than them makeup bits I did pop into Poundland on the hunt of picking up some plastic nail varnish storage holder things, so that I could put lipsticks in them and get my lipstick draw a bit more organised. I only picked up 6 as my friend said it would be too much if I picked up 10, but may need to pick up more in the future. Definitely worth a check in your local Poundland if you are on the hunt for some these.
That's it for this makeup haul I'm now officially on a spending ban until my birthday next month. I have definitely treated myself to enough makeup for now. Hopefully by my birthday I will have lost some pounds (weight) so that i'll have a nice clothes haul for you.
Anyhow, let me know what I should put on my makeup wish list for my next makeup splurge..
speak soon, han xo
