Turkey

So as you may know we went on our first holiday together now like a week ago now and I (hannah) am still suffering from holiday blues? anyone else suffer holiday blues this bad. Anyhow we went to Marmaris in Turkey, which was both our first time and it was lovely. We were literally located in the best part possible. We were close to the beach, bars, shops and nightlife so there was always something to do.

Sadly we didn't take many pictures of our holiday as we didn't really want to take the camera out with us much! But we didn't really get up to that much it was a rather chilled week. Em did a bit of shopping and got herself a nice bag and purse along with some gifts for family. We also spent a day time at their waterpark. Which is honestly the tiniest Waterpark we've ever been too but still had fun. Plus helped our tan loads!

Our hotel was honestly so good and we were so happy with it. We went all inclusive and got a good cheap deal with everything included so we didn't have to worry about buying food out there. The food in the hotel was nice enough. Hannah literally ate watermelon all the time. As for drinks we literally had sex on the beaches every night (almost). The first night we arrived we sat down and the drinks didn't stop coming..  which was lovely of the bar waiter person sadly we didn't get his name. Also the bar tenders are so entertaining to watch so if you ever go to the SunConnect Grand Ideal just watch them they are so funny.

We don't really know what else to say? Sorry for the lack of photos. If you want to hear more about our holiday, leave any questions below and we will do like a question and answer post or something. Also wanted to say sorry for the lack of posts last week... need to get back into the routine

see you soon, han & em x
if it was cheap again we would definitely go back!

Makeup Brush Set

I haven't talked about makeup brushes I ages! I think my last post where I mentioned makeup brushes was when I ordered some cheap ones from amazon, totally worth looking into getting by the way more details here. Anyhow back onto these.. I was kindly gifted these as a birthday present from a friend back in May and i'm in love!

The are gorgeously designed with a grey metallic handle with an added gold touch. A great thing is that they come in a plain simple ivory/cream makeup brush bag, so great for travelling. I can't find this exact set online but Beau Belle Make Up Brushes 18 pc is very similar designed I think it just has a few extra brushes. Also all the brushes are really soft minus the brush on the eyebrow one. I haven't found any to fall apart which is a bonus. Also they didn't have a horrible chemical smell!

MAC Up The Amp

MAC Up The Amp Lipstick Review and Swatches

It's been awhile since I've done a MAC lipstick post so I thought it was time I got back into the swing of these. So here is Up The Amp...

MAC Up The Amp Review & Swatches

Now I know this shade isn't going to be everyones cup of tea and a purple lipstick isn't the easiest shade to wear but I am totally in love with it. I love how the shade goes onto my lips and I have surprisingly found myself wearing this quite a lot mainly on nights out but I love it! It's an amplified finish therefore gives an opaque coverage. It's really nice to apply nice and creamy, no drying on the lips! I have found this to last a good 3 hours.

So let me know what you think to this shade, would you go for this?

see you soon, han xo

We're Going Away...

only for a holiday though!
We decided to book a last minute deal like a week back now, so we thought we would just keep you updated. Hannah has set up a few posts (3) to go up this week but apologies about the first two photo qualities in the posts these will be replaced when we are back.

So we have a question for you - would you like to see pictures / posts from our holiday? e.g. outfit posts, a review of hotel, or just the experience in general. We would love to know your opinion!

And we will see you soon aka in a week, em & han xo

Summer Skin Care Essentials

Hey guys, me and han are going away next week (so excited!) so I thought I would share with you my skin care essentials. I think healthy looking skin is so important on holiday and generally all year round. your skin stays with you your whole life you need to look after it!!!

So first, hair removal....
I use the Nair ones because I personally think they are the best. I have tried veet but I wasn't too impressed. I find that this one really does get rid of the hair and leaves your skin feeling amazing!

Then after I am hair free I think it is so important to mositurise. I cant stress how much I think this is so important all year round. Especially for my skin because it gets really dry if I don't. It also makes me feel all nice and pampered when I have moisturised. I use the coca butter one, it is a bit pricey for a moisturiser but honestly it is amazing! The best product I have tried ( and I have tried a lot!). First it smells gorgeous, it leaves your skin smelling like chocolate which is never a bad thing! And secondly it hydrates your skin for 24 hours and you can really see the difference in your skin after a couple of uses.

Next... is sun cream! A very obvious choice but the thing I love most about the one I have picked is it doesn't just protect your skin but it also gives a shimmer effect to make your skin look fabulous in a bikini! (there is nothing more important then sun cream). If you unfortunately burn it is important to always good to use some after sun to make you more comfortable and for it to heal better.

Smelling nice is always a plus! I love the Victoria Secret sprays they smell amazing and actually last all day. they are my new obsession I keep wanting more and more!!

See you soon, Em xo

Too Faced - Better Than Sex Mascara

Too Faced Better Than Sex Review and Before and After Photos

Too Faced Better Than Sex Review and Before and After Photos
Hey guys!
A week or so ago I took my sister to one of our local Debenhams so that she could pick out a late birthday present that I owed her which she did (the Urban Decay Naked Palette 3 for anyone who is wondering) and I managed to pick my self up the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara. Now I definitely didn't go into Debenhams with the purpose of buying myself anything but the fact that the Scunthorpe store stocked it was a good enough reason to pick it up. Along with the fact that the lady at the Urban Decay Counter (nicest/most helpful beauty/makeup assistant I have met..so far) told me that if you spent over £50 pounds you got £10 off. So I was like hell yeah i'm treating myself plus it's another makeup product off my wish list.

Mac Studio Fix Fluid Foundation Review

Hey guys! I am finally back to blogging. It has been a busy couple of months with uni.
So today I wanted to review this Mac foundation. I had never really tried Mac products before using this. So I thought I would review this foundation for anyone who was like me... a bit of a Mac virgin!

Pros
  • It has good coverage. I wouldn't say it was the best coverage but it fits my skin perfectly. For anyone who just has a couple of break outs then its great for just covering them up.
  • It blends in well and leaves your skin looking naturally flawless which I love! I doesn't give a heavy feeling to your skin either.
  • It brightens up your face, I never thought I would say this about a foundation because I thought you needed like highlighters, bronzer s ect to give the brightening effect. I can really tell the difference when wearing cheaper brands to this. The quality is amazing.
  • Overall it is just a gorgeous foundation. It is my favourite for now (I am always trying new ones out!) but for now I am in love. I recommend this product to people who don't need to much coverage, and like the natural look.

Nicka K Colorluxe Powder Blush in Mauve Rose

Nicka K Colorluxe Powder Blush in Mauve Rose

Nicka K Colorluxe Powder Blush in Mauve Rose on http://emandhanxo.blogspot.co.uk/

A few weeks ago it was my birthday and I was lucky enough to receive this gorgeous blush off my mum as a present. Now normally i'm not a blush kind of girl I am really lazy when it comes to blush and I normally just miss it out all together. So the main reason this appealed to me was the packaging (sorry not sorry) and because I hadn't really heard of Nicka K New York before so wanted to try out their makeup. I'll admit i'm glad the reasons got me to ask for it because I love this blush.

Everyday Look #2

Everyday Look #2 on http://emandhanxo.blogspot.co.uk

I hadn't planned to do this post or any other post today until I did my makeup this morning. After which I thought I want to do post on this look and I suppose it's been awhile since I did my first everyday look.

Need a Dress?

dresses from http://www.sherrylondon.co.uk

Prom season is coming up and we have the perfect post to showcase some beautiful dresses by SherryLondon. They have the most gorgeous dress for a variety of occasions such as bridesmaid dress, evening dress, cocktail dresses perfect for events such as weddings, uni balls and proms. Also they are all reasonable well priced.

They have some really pretty prom dresses stocked at the moment. Emily's favourite is a beautiful a-line empire strapless zipper floor lengh prom dress. It looks amazing she loves the back of the dress, check it out here. Hannah's fave is the short mini empire sweetheart dress (middle left), if prom was again I would definitely go for a dress like that or this.

Sherry London also stock loads of gorgeous party/cocktail dresses. Emily fell in love with this scoop short/mini sheath/columnnatural zipper cocktail dress. It looks amazing and would love to wear it. Whereas Han fell in love with a two piece which isn't technically a dress but can still be mentioned. It can be found here and it's got a lovely black lace crop top with a baby pink satin skit for £95.

We was both looking through the bridesmaid dress collection and loved the range, two particularly caught our eye. The a-line dropped chiffon sleeveless zipper dress and the a-line chiffon jewel knee length dress would honestly make gorgeous bridesmaid dresses, we wouldn't mind wearing them for a wedding. Definitely worth checking out if you are going to be a bridesmaid anytime soon.

And finally they also do a wide range of evening dresses. This a-line bateua floor-lengh backless cap sleeves evening dress is Emily's favourite out of all the dresses, one that I (em) fell in love with. Hannah personally loved the a-line should straps zipper natural floor-length dress (bottom left in the above picture). The top gem detail really adds glam to the dress.

So have you got your prom dress picked or a dress for occasion sorted? or whats your favourite dress?

see you soon, em & han xo
